Per:    Justice N.K. Sodhi, Presiding Officer (Oral)

By an order dated March 31, 2004 passed by the then Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India the appellant was debarred from associating himself with the securities market for a period of one year and he was directed not to deal in securities in any manner whatsoever for a period of one year.  When the appeal was admitted the operation of the impugned order had not been stayed.  The period for which the appellant was debarred is long over.  Without going into the merits of the contentions raised on behalf of the appellant we dismiss the appeal as infructuous.
