REVIEW OF SEBI (DISCLOSURE AND INVESTOR PROTECTION) GUIDELINES, 2000 - RECOMMENDATIONS OF PRIMARY MARKET ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The Primary Market Advisory Committee (PMAC) had constituted a subgroup to review the book building guidelines. Among other issues, the subgroup made various recommendations pertaining to the existing framework of book building, which were deliberated upon by PMAC. The PMAC have approved various recommendations pertaining to redefining retail investor, redefining allocation buckets, reduction in bidding period, data reporting on exchanges websites, announcement of price band / floor price etc. 

In order to invite comments/suggestions/views of the public and others concerned in this regard, the said recommendations of the committee have been put on our website (www.sebi.gov.in) under the heading "Review of SEBI (DIP) Guidelines – Proposals –Series VIII" in the sub-section "Reports for Public Comments" in section "Reports/Documents". Comments on the same may be sent to Ms. Neelam Bhardwaj, Deputy General Manager, Division of Issues & Listing, SEBI or emailed to neelamb@sebi.gov.in / ushar@sebi.gov.in or faxed to 91-22-22045633 on or before October 14, 2004.
