Issues with appraised projects

More companies came to the market with self appraised projects during 1996-97 as compared to 1995-96. In 1996-97, there were 644 self appraised issues accounting for 72.85% of the total number of issues, which raised Rs.11,918.63 crore, 83.44% of the total amount raised. In 1995-96, the corresponding percentages were 47.83% and 56.07% respectively.
