Firm allotment to institutional investors

 

Table 3 gives details of firm allotments made to financial institutions, banks, mutual funds, NRIs/OCBs, Foreign Institutional Investors and employees. In 1996-97, Rs.8,556.78 crore were offered to Indian public compared to Rs.8,413.01 crore in 1995-96. The promoters’ participation in 663 issues in 1996-97 was Rs.1,194.81 crore as against Rs.2,008.15 crore through 1,218 issues in 1995-96.
