Registration of mutual funds
During the year, registration has been granted to 10 new mutual funds, all in the private sector. With these registration, there are in all 37 mutual funds including UTI operating in India. Out of these 10 new funds, 5 of them have participation from foreign institutions. Table 29 gives details of mutual funds registered with SEBI.
