Central Facilitation Cell
Office of International Affairs would act
as a central facilitation cell for overseas entities having regulatory issues
and concerns relating to Indian securities market. In appropriate cases, OIA
will seek to flag and coordinate such issues with relevant departments within
SEBI. On similar footing, securities market participants from India may
request OIA for regulatory assistance. In appropriate cases, OIA may
coordinate with overseas regulators with a view to flag such issues and
concerns.
Technical Assistance
SEBI endeavors to provide technical
assistance to the other securities regulators for their regulatory purposes.
SEBI, in past, has shared its expertise on various aspects of securities
market regulations including in mutual funds, ETFs, Depositories, Clearing
and Settlement Mechanism, Market Surveillance and Enforcement, Information
Technology, Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence, etc.
Study Visits
SEBI hosts a number of dignitaries /
delegations from various overseas regulators/ agencies in order to promote
mutual co-operation and better understanding of the Indian markets and for
establishing inter-regulatory dialogue between the respective authorities.
Such study visits are conducted on requests made by overseas authorities. SEBI
has conducted in the past study visits, on request made by other institutions
for overseas regulatory delegations attending an International program on Securities
Markets Operation in India.
Speaker Requests
SEBI is invited by various securities
regulators/international organizations to participate as Speakers/Panelists
at their international seminars and conferences. SEBI nominates its experts
on various areas for participating in the events and sharing the knowledge.
