Prosecution and Settlement Department (PSD)

The Prosecution and Settlement Department (PSD) comprises of Prosecution Divisions and Settlement Division. Prosecution Division is responsible for filing criminal complaints for violation of securities laws before various Special Courts and handling such cases before Special Courts and higher Courts. Further, the Division is also responsible for obtaining court orders for search and seizure, defending SEBI officers in criminal cases, filing FIRs and coordination with Law Enforcement Agencies with respect to prosecution cases. The Settlement Division is responsible for handling registration and processing Settlement Applications, organizing Internal Committee Meetings and High Powered Advisory Committee (HPAC) Meetings and placing the recommendation of HPAC before the Panel of Whole Time Members for approval, in terms of the Settlement Regulations, 2018.
