Union Finance Minister addresses Board members and senior officials of SEBI
Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon'ble Union Finance Minister interacted with the members of the SEBI Board and senior officials of SEBI at New Delhi today. Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla, Minister of State for Finance, Shri Subhash Chandra Garg, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Shri Ajay Bhushan Pandey, Revenue Secretary, Shri Atanu Chakraborty, Secretary, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian, Chief Economic Adviser, Shri Anand Mohan Bajaj, Jt. Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs and Shri K.V.R. Murty, Jt. Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs also attended the meeting.
Shri Ajay Tyagi, Chairman, SEBI welcomed the Hon'ble Union Finance Minister and apprised him of the recent developments in the Indian securities market. Hon'ble Finance Minister appreciated the initiatives taken by SEBI.
Besides Shri Ajay Tyagi, Chairman, SEBI, the meeting was attended by Whole Time Members of SEBI Board namely Shri G Mahalingam, Ms. Madhabi Puri Buch, Shri S K Mohanty and Shri Ananta Barua. Executive Directors and other senior officials of SEBI were also present.
