B. Bilateral MOUs

SEBI has signed Bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with various Securities Regulators for enhancing cooperation and exchange of information for regulatory and enforcement purposes. The objective of the bilateral MoUs is to strengthen cross border co-operation in the area of securities regulations. The bilateral MoUs facilitates mutual assistance, contributes towards efficient performance of the supervisory functions and enables effective enforcement of the laws and regulations governing the securities markets.

Securities and Exchange Board of India and securities market regulators of 27 member States of the European Union / European Economic Authority signed bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) concerning consultation, cooperation and the exchange of information related to the supervision of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMs).
